AUNYD empowers East African youth to shape global policy, bridging local realities with international forums. Through training, engagement, and representation, it builds a network of informed young leaders.

The lack of trust among Sudanese civil society has historically hindered democratic transition efforts. To address this, SUDIA has utilized "Futures Thinking" approaches, including Future Search workshops in Khartoum, to foster collaboration and build trust. Targeting the eastern states of Red Sea and Kassala, the project aimed to unite civil society towards a shared democratic vision. Two conferences held in October 2022 resulted in a collaborative agenda and the creation of Follow-up Mechanisms to support institutional reform and sustainable development.
