Where the money goes:

Project/Activity brief and purpose:  To build the technical capacity of, and strengthen the cooperation between, civil society organizations (CSOs) and independent media outlets in North Sudan. More specifically grant funds are being used to develop the advocacy capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) promoting democracy, peaceful co-existence and human rights in Sudan; Strengthening the organizational management and development of CSOs; Convening bi-monthly discussion forums, which will bring together CSOs and media professionals; and establishing a communications unit within SUDIA

Key activities:  Organize an Advocacy training workshop for a number of CSOs; Capacity building workshop that will focus on strengthening the organizational management and development of CSOs; Hosting bi-monthly discussion forums, which bring together CSOs and media professionals; Establishing a communications unit at SUDIA.
