Participatory research work with the communities in Dar-es-Salaam Administrative unit in Al-Fashir locality, N. Darfur has enabled us to develop and implement interventions that contributed to post-conflict transformation and peace-building efforts in that region. In partnership with Klaimendo Development Organization (KDO), SUDIA rehabilitated water-yards and improved the supply of water in 3 villages south east of Al-Fashir in North Darfur State. SUDIA was also able to as well as facilitating the provision of veterinary services to a livestock population of 9391 head of animals.

In the village of Gusa Gamat, specific results included
- Construction of a new shed for housing the water-pump
- Procurement/installation of 2 new water troughs for drinking
- Concrete flooring around the animal drinking troughs to lessen mud and provide better access
- Rehabilitating the old water troughs and replacing its eroded base with new steel sheets
In the village of Umm-Beitein
- Rehabilitating the water-pump shed by installing new zinc-sheet roofing
- Replacing the valves and pipes which feeds water to the troughs
- Relocating the animal drinking water troughs and erecting them on new concrete flooring
In the village of Klaimendo,
- Segregation of animal and human water access/consumption points
- Erection of a vaccination pen for animals over an area of 78 m2
- Inoculation with 4 types of vaccines for 9391 animals
